Sick Child Policy Reminder
Just a friendly reminder on Little Explorers’ sick child policy:
Please do not send your child to school if they have vomited, had diarrhea or a fever in 24 hours without medication. If you child needs Tylenol or Motrin in the morning in order to feel better, please keep them home. The Tylenol or Motrin will mask the fever but your child will still be contagious to all their friends.
Please be sure to inform your child’s teacher if you did give your child medication in the morning. This includes Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, and any allergy medication - i.e... Benadryl. Usually, these medications wear off about 12pm then we are unsure why they are having problems or complaining of pain- i.e… ear ache, sore throat, etc.. Also, please inform your child’s teacher if your child has been given any other medication that you believe may affect their behavior or mood.
Thank you for helping us to keep everyone as healthy as possible during this school season.
